Raising Arrows Homeschool Academy is a Christ-centered program serving homeschool families nationwide. We offer Bible-based typing lessons, remote courses and personalized dual credit coaching.

About Raising Arrows

Raising Arrows is a Christian collaborative homeschool program for elementary through early high school. As a drop-off program, parents are not required to volunteer.

Christian - Every subject is taught from a biblical worldview. Our award-winning curriculum provides an excellent academic education without compromising on biblical truth.

Collaborative - As a homeschool mom, you are still their primary influence, but you don't have to do it all alone. At Raising Arrows, they will cover their core subjects from a biblical worldview, using curriculum that you'll have direct access to. The rest of the week is up to you!

Homeschool Program - This is not a school, and because of that, you still have all the same freedoms as a homeschool mom. There won't be standardized testing, uniforms, or even attendance requirements. Students go at their own pace in Language Arts and Math, and the environment is low-stress. It's homeschool... just somewhere other than home. :)

To achieve academic excellence with an uncompromising biblical foundation, Master Books is the primary curriculum used at Raising Arrows. An award-winning curriculum, Master Books has a rich history of demonstrating how evidence in science, history, archaeology, geology, and astronomy supports (not contradicts) the Bible.

Hi, I’m Steph — a longtime homeschool mom with a passion for helping families bring faith into their educational journey. Through Raising Arrows, I offer remote tools and resources that equip you to teach with confidence and keep Christ at the center of learning.

My background includes:

Over a decade of experience as a homeschool mom
Degrees in Bible, Religious Studies, and Communication Studies
Leadership roles in homeschool groups, children’s ministry, and youth ministry
Experience working at a seminary

Through Raising Arrows, I provide remote learning tools, Scripture-integrated lessons, and academic support designed to build a strong biblical foundation and foster a love of learning rooted in God’s Word.

WHY RAISING ARROWS

Raising Arrows exists to raise up disciples who love and follow Jesus.

Did You Know?

Did you know that nearly 75% of Christian kids leave the church after high school?

The average child in public school spends approximately 30 hours per week in a secular environment where they are exposed to ideas that actively undermine Christian principles. Their mentors at school teach them the opposite of what they learn at home or at church. No one from home or church is beside them, hearing all of the anti-biblical teachings and helping them process or question these ideas. When they get home, they tell their mom their day was "fine," and that's the end of it. Meanwhile, those anti-biblical teachings begin to take root. They create space where doubt can grow.

In contrast, they may spend 1-2 hours per week in church learning biblical truth. That's not enough time to dive into evidence that supports the Bible in science, history, archaeology, geology, and astronomy. There isn't enough time in Sunday School to give them a defense for their faith. There isn't time to illustrate how the assumptions of a secular worldview yield different "scientific" results just because of bias.

It's no wonder secularism has gained such a stronghold. God has been removed from every subject in public school education and has been replaced with an anti-biblical worldview.

As Christian parents, we face a significant challenge: how do we provide our kids with a biblical foundation that won't be abandoned?

An Answer to Prayer

I've homeschooled since my oldest was in Kindergarten, but I realize homeschooling is not feasible for everyone. Over time, as I saw more and more moms wishing they could pull their kids out of public school, I asked God how I could support them.

Within a few days, I had the entire vision for a homeschool program that eventually was named Raising Arrows. It's like God downloaded it into my brain. The funny thing is, I didn't think I was supposed to be the one leading it. I literally was like, "That's a great idea, God. Let me find someone who can help You with that!"

I truly never thought the answer would be for me to teach other people's kids! But God knew. He always knew.

Side note on prayer: when you pray for someone, don't pray for God to send someone else to help that person. Pray for guidance on how YOU can be the answer to prayer in their lives. "Here I am, LORD, send me." Lesson learned!

Raising Arrows was born out of a desire to serve. My heart is to give your kids the same biblical worldview that my own kids are receiving with a curriculum that points them back to Jesus in every subject. They learn how science, history, archaeology, geology, and astronomy all support the Bible, not contradict the Bible as secular education claims.

This is the kind of biblical foundation they can stand on when the world tries to take their faith away. And the world WILL try to take it away.

We need to do more than teach Bible stories on Sunday morning. We need to give our children a stronger foundation and a defense of their faith. They need to know the holes in secular teachings so that they are not defenseless when they leave home.

We Take Safety Seriously

This world is a scary place, and Raising Arrows knows that one of the major reasons families choose to homeschool is for safety reasons. So how do we keep that level of safety when they are not at home? This is a valid question that parents have every right and responsibility to ask.

The building is very secure. We can discuss all of those details in person, but let's just start by saying that there are safety measures already in place.

Next, the space we use is not shared during the time we are there. There are not a lot of people coming and going. From a safety standpoint, that's important because those inside the building do not grow accustomed to seeing strangers walking around.

Last, when it comes to abuse prevention, Raising Arrows takes this very seriously. Every teacher at Raising Arrows goes through a thorough interview process and is required to take a course by MinistrySafe for abuse prevention. The abuse stats can be quite alarming, and that is why we are all the more diligent in equipping ourselves with the knowledge and skills needed to keep our children safe.

Please do not hesitate to ask more detailed questions. Safety is a top priority for Raising Arrows, and it's a topic that is always good to evaluate and make sure we are using every safety measure we can.

CURRICULUM

Educational and Spiritual Criteria

The purpose of Raising Arrows is to support homeschool families in providing a solid education that draws children closer to Jesus and the unique calling He has for their lives.

To meet a high academic standard, the curriculum must be:

Thorough without being stressful.
Effective and also fun.
Developmentally appropriate.
Up to date on good brain science.
Individually paced in subjects like Math, Reading, and Language.
Adaptable enough to use in a group for subjects like Bible, Science and Social Studies.

Weaved throughout it all, in every subject, should be God's story and how He made all things and is in all things. The curriculum should invite kids to follow Jesus on a great adventure. Students should be able to hear whispers of how He made them for a purpose and how He has big things planned for them.

Master Books

To meet all of these criteria, Raising Arrows uses Master Books as the primary curriculum and backbone of what we do.

As the leading publisher of biblical apologetic books and resources since 1976, Master Books provides award-winning, faith-based homeschool curriculum and educational resources,

The curriculum consists mostly of books and workbooks with occasional supplemental video content. The materials are beautiful, engaging, and academically sound without being stressful. With scripture seamlessly woven into each subject, your children will be encouraged in their faith.

As an open-and-go curriculum, if you choose to do some lessons at home in Language or Math (the two subjects that are individually paced), you will easily be able to jump right in and do those lessons without difficulty.

Supplementary Curricula

Raising Arrows has also used curricula from other companies that could best meet a specific need. Answers in Genesis and BJU Press are two companies that each have a biblical worldview and have been wonderful companies we have partnered with in different subjects.

We continue to use BJU Press for Elementary Spanish because of their strong gospel emphasis in introductory Spanish and their comprehensive program, which offers up to six years of instruction. This allows students to build their Spanish skills progressively over time.

ESPAÑOL

Raising Arrows is offering 60 Beginner Spanish lessons at Lakeview Baptist Church on Mondays and Wednesdays at 1:30-2:15 PM beginning August 12, 2024!

Spanish in Texas

Did you know that since 2022, Hispanic Texans have made up 40% of the state's population, becoming the largest demographic in our state? Data shows that almost 30% of the population in Texas speaks Spanish at home.

There has never been a better time to prioritize learning Spanish. Across all industries, speaking Spanish is a tremendous skill set that is becoming more and more valuable in the work force. Learning Spanish will help your student in any future career.

Speaking Spanish is also becoming more essential in simply being able to communicate with our neighbors. Giving our children the opportunity to learn Spanish is equipping them to love their neighbors and share Jesus with the people He will place in their lives.

Spanish at Raising Arrows

Raising Arrows is using a fun Christian Spanish curriculum from BJU Press, a company devoted to providing Christian curriculum for homeschoolers and private schools. If your student speaks little to no Spanish, this is the perfect class to begin learning Spanish!

Not only are we using a delightful Spanish curriculum to learn everyday Spanish phrases, but we are also thrilled to welcome our new Spanish teacher Daisy who speaks Spanish as a first language! Students will learn correct pronunciation right from the start from a wonderful teacher who loves Jesus and is fluent in both Spanish and English.

Pricing

Spanish at Raising Arrows covers 60 lessons from August 12, 2024 to May 14, 2025 taught by a native Spanish speaker who loves Jesus. Below is our pricing for NEW students who are taking Spanish only. All prices are for a full YEAR of Spanish lessons.

TUITION

Raising Arrows seeks to offer affordable, customized Christian education for all families who are aligned with our purpose and mission.

Enrollment is OPEN for the 2025-2026 school year!

Spring 2025

Prorated Tuition & Fees

Students enrolling mid-semester may join for a weekly rate of $175, which is a wonderful option if you want to try it out to see if it is a good fit before committing. We also offer a reduced rate of $145 per week when you pay the remainder of the semester in full.

Raising Arrows provides all the supplies your student may need while in class such as books, pencils, crayons, paper, glue, binders, folders, etc.
You will not be asked to provide supplies, participate in fund-raising, or any other unexpected financial obligations.
Your only additional costs that are recommended are backpacks, lunch boxes, and water bottles if you prefer reusable water bottles. Raising Arrows sometimes has a few backpacks on hand for anyone who needs assistance.
Any activities such as field trips are optional and at your own cost.
